Energy Bites

Some of you wanted the recipe for the energy bites that I brought to practice the other day, so here it is!

  • 1 cup dry oatmeal
  • 2/3 cups coconut
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup ground flax seed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Mix everything together, refrigerate for 30 minutes, and then roll into 1" balls.  These are a great pre-workout snack:)

End of a great season!

Our last regular season meet is officially over!  Now there's only districts, regionals, and nationals!  Hopefully everyone has had a fun season and feels prepared for the last few upcoming competitions:)  Sometimes it's hard to see progress in the moment, but look back to our first meet of the season and there is a dramatic difference!  Everyone has been working hard.  Keep it up!

  • Districts- ALL level 3's and up compete.  This is not a qualifying meet
  • Regionals- Level 4 and up ONLY (27.0 AA at two competitions this season)
  • Nationals- Level 4 and up ONLY (31.0AA Level 5 and up, 32.0AA Level 4)
If you are unsure whether or not your daughter has qualified for any of these competitions, just ask one of the coaches ;)

A couple things to keep in mind
  • If your daughter needs to leave early or arrive late, you must let Kristin know before practice OR send a written note in with your daughter
  • At competitions, ALL gymnasts are required to stay the entire time (until the end of team awards) unless you have previously talked to Kristin.  We only have a few meets left, so do your best to make sure your gymnasts is there for the entire competition/awards.  We realize life happens, but make your best effort;)

Pictures from Kettering are on facebook and will be on the website hopefully by tonight;)
